Disappointment and Change

This past weekend was a very busy, emotional weekend for the Wold family. Upon our arrival home on Sunday, we gathered our mail from the time we were gone and found two pieces of mail that could change our lives forever.
The pieces of mail were from the cities of Bozeman and Missoula telling us whether or not Tyler was to come back for interviews. **A little history** Tyler went out to Montana for a state wide testing, both written and physical testing for firefighting. He got a 90% on the written and ended up placing 40Th and tying 10 out of 650 applicants. Needless to say he did awesome. Well, we opened both frantically because we desperately wanted both to ask him to come out as we wanted really bad to move to either one. The two letters had bad news in them however, they said that they were thankful for his application and interest but at this time they were going to go with a different candidate for the job openings.
We were really dissapointed as he did so well and we couldn't believe that they wouldn't even ask him in for an interview when they were hiring close to 20 firemen. After many tears and hugs, we decided that we should try to figure out what we were going to do from here. Tyler and I figured that the reason he wasn't chosen was more than likely due to the fact that he doesn't have any experience under his belt. So what we decided to do to remedy the fact was to move to a smaller town closer to family so that Tyler can get volunteer experience, even if it's only for a year, and then we will try again.
So with that, the Wold family has decided that as of October 1st we will be residing in Dickinson, North Dakota. We chose Dickinson because it's closer to both our families which means we can make it to birthday parties, holidays and other family events more often, and we can also take a quick trip to visit the cousins for a day instead of having to hustle to take everyone in in a weekend. Dickinson also has a school so that I can continue to work on my degree, and Tyler can earn more money for our family. There are a few cons to our decision but the pro's outweigh them significantly.
We had decided that we were going to baptize Angela here in Fargo on Sept. 21, but seeing as we will be moving a little over a week after, we have postponed it to sometime in October in Dickinson. I would love to have baptized her sooner but Tyler and I took into consideration gas prices for those who wanted to be here, but were traveling some distance. Since we will be moving in the middle of a semester, and no daycare will take miss Angela at such a young age, I have decided to take this semester off and focus on my daughter, the move and my Spanish. If I can get a majority of my Spanish klept, then I can take out over a year of school in one semester.
There are still a great deal of decisions to be made, but we will figure that out in time. I hope to keep everyone updated on this as more decisions are made. We appreciate all the support that we received while Tyler was pushing for the firefighting and now that he will try to volunteer. It really does mean a great deal to us. I must be off as my sleeping Angel is waking up now.

Oh my goodness! Big changes in the world of The Wolds. Good for you guys to not be afraid of changes. Just a part of life, always evolving. But you don't need me to tell about that with Angela and all. *Wink*
I wish you kids the best of luck on your soon to be new adventures. :D
