We have had such a weekend already! This past week has wrecked havoc on our systems and I don't think I could handle anymore coming my way. I'll skip the problems that fell on our backs and jump right to Angela ('cause I know that is who means the most). Thursday afternoon after returning home from Dickinson, Angela was feeling warm to the touch so I took her temp. It was 102.6, so I called the doctor. While I waited for the doctor to call me back, I continued taking her temperature, keep her in cotton clothes that could breath and made sure she was drinking her bottles. Her temperature was wavering going up to 102.8 then back down to 102.2 and it peaked at 103.1. Tyler got home and we kept an eye on it some more, administering Tylenol every four hours. It was at 9:30 that night that Angela wasn't sleeping normal, sounding raspy and woke up. I took her temperature and it was 104.1 so Tyler and I took Angela to the Richardton E.R. where they told us that Angela has a double Ear Infection. The put her on Antibiotics and told me to alternate Tylenol and Motrin every two hours.
Thursday night was hard as she didn't want to sleep other than being held. But I almost didn't mind the cuddling. Friday we attended Angela's Great-great Grandmother Eva Nuss' funeral and Angela was content the whole time. Last night her temperature wavered again and we just held steady. She fought sleeping again last night and has now added diarrhea onto her list of symptoms. Her temperature keeps peeking at about 103.2 so in the morning if it's not seeming to calm down a little more, I will call the doctor to make an Early morning appointment for Monday, if the doctor thinks I should take her to the ER instead, I will take her to the Dickinson ER where they can admit her.
Please keep Angela in your thoughts and prayers that my happy little girl will return to me and leave this illness behind her.
