A snipit

Hey everyone! Well I've been out and about shooting pictures for my photography assignment and I think I'm having a pretty hard time. We are supposed to find the best examples of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. So things such as line, color (monochromatic, complementary, etc), balance, shape, value...things like that. The only problem is that she showed us examples of past entries and now it those pictures that I see when I'm out shooting. I have some ideas of my own, but I just keep seeing the other pictures.

Anyways, here is a little snipit of my pictures from the past few days. The ones with the snow are from the most recent snow storm...ten inches in Richardton!! Let me know any feedback on the photos.

Many of you know my new found passion for photography...although I don't know if it's newly found. I have thrown around a possible idea of starting a side hobbie of doing photos for other people. Since I was up quite a bit last night with Angela (up every two hours) I thought more about it and decided that it would be a great way for me to be a stay-at-home mom and still contribute to bringing home money and doing something I love. I will still continue my education degree at DSU so that I will always have something to fall back on, however I would like to be at home more with my daughter.

I would not start taking photos for other people until I am done with my photography class in order for me to understand and my camera and photography skills better. I don't expect to become a professional photographer by any means seeing as I will not be obtaining a degree in the subject. I am looking forward to doing this side activity and I hope that it prospures and makes me a stronger photographer. I will be creating a website (hopefully soon) with examples of my photography for others to look at so that they can see my style of work.
